More than a hundred years of history for Spazio Etoile that had always been the icon of the historical and architectural values of the ancient historical centre of Rome.
Lumiere brothers christen the XX century discovering the “cinema” and right in the courtyard of Palazzo Ruspoli Roe has its first projection hall : the “Lux et Umbra”, overlooking the famous “Via del Corso “ and “Piazza di Spagna”, the very heart of Rome. It is in 1915 that Lux et Umbra, thanks to the great success increased also by the historical period full of faith in progress, that the cinema has to be enlarged: it is the famous architect Marcello Piacentini that will look after the project: the new building will have to contain 1.300 people seated.
After years of hard working and reviewing projects considered at he time too revolutionary, too much “liberty” style, in 1919 the new “Cinema Teatro Corso“ was inaugurated and finally appreciated.
Later on the cinema changed its name in “Cinema Etoile” and the 3 prestigious halls increased the number of onlookers thanks to the opening of the subway stations of “Piazza di Spagna” and “Piazzale Flaminio”, that are actually walking distance.
This new order facilitated also the commercial activities of the “city” and the area became, and still is, the most important for business, shopping and culture.
The activity of “Cinema Etoile” lasted until 1999.
Nowadays “Spazio Etoile” is a huge, central and elegant location that can be used for any kind of event, show or congress.
Language
The official language of the Congress will be English.
Congress Documents and Badges
Congress documents should be collected on-site at the registration desk at the "Spazio Etoile". Official Congress badges will be required for admission to all Congress functions, scientific sessions and exhibition areas. Individuals who lose their badge will be required to pay a fee to obtain a replacement badge.
Registration Desk
All attendees must register at the congress registration desk, which will be located in the main entrance of Spazio Etoile. Working hours and days of the registration desk are April 25th-28th, 2009.
Certificate
Attendance certificates will be available at the Secretary Desk.
Luncheons and Refreshments
Coffee, tea and luncheons will be available in the Congress Center, Spazio Etoile, and will be included in the registration fee.

Travelling and Transport
Travel to Rome
- By plane, the "Leonardo da Vinci" International Airport, is only 32 km away from the centre of Rome and it's easily reacheable by car through the Rome-Fiumicino motorway.
- By train, trains from all over Europe and Italy arrive directly in Rome city centre railway station (Roma Termini)
